*Job Overview*: We are seeking a skilled and motivated interim *Laboratory Manager* to lead our tick testing operations. This position involves overseeing laboratory activities related to pathogen detection, performing standard molecular biology techniques, and contributing to ongoing research projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in a molecular biology laboratory setting. *Key Responsibilities*: * Conduct and oversee laboratory testing for tick-borne pathogens, including DNA/RNA extractions, PCR (nPCR, qPCR, rt-qPCR) and other molecular techniques. * Manage day-to-day lab operations, ensuring adherence to protocols and quality control. * Supervise laboratory technicians and support staff, providing guidance as needed. * Maintain accurate and detailed records of testing results, processes, and equipment usage. * Order and maintain inventory of lab supplies and reagents. * Ensuring adherence to lab safety protocols and appropriate biosafety standards *Qualifications*: * Bachelor?s degree in Molecular Biology, or a related field. Post Graduate degree an asset. * Minimum of 1 year of experience in a molecular biology or diagnostic laboratory setting. * Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, particularly PCR based techniques. * Self-motivated with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. * Experience in managing laboratory staff and coordinating laboratory activities. * Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy. *\*\*\*Geneticks* is an equitable and inclusive employer.
