Penticton and District Society for Community Living (PDSCL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting people with diverse abilities in Penticton and surrounding communities. We provide support and services for people with intellectual disabilities, seniors, low-income adults, families, and persons facing homelessness. This is a *Temporary Part Time (20hr) Floater* position reporting to the appropriate Coordinator; the candidate will work shifts in various areas to cover sick leave, vacation requests and/or other staffing concerns so staff must be flexible for all shifts and work placement. \**This floater position will be assigned 20 hours from Sunday to Saturday between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm but will have a variable schedule working between Housing and the Assisted Living programs.* The Roles are detailed below: Food Service Worker: Under the direction of the head cook, perform routine dishwashing, pot washing, and cleaning. Assist with the non-cooking preparation and distribution of food and beverages. Housekeeper: Under the direction of the Housing Services Coordinator, perform routine cleaning of resident?s suites and laundering of personal linens. Janitor: Under the direction of the head cook, perform routine dishwashing; pot washing; and cleaning. Assist with the non-cooking preparation and distribution of food and beverages. Cleans, washes and disinfects building areas such as walls, windows, ceilings, floor, carpets, air vents, furniture, mattresses, blinds and washrooms by methods such as dusting, polishing, vacuuming, sweeping, and wet mopping. *EDUCATION: * * Grade 10 * One (1) month of recent related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience *OTHER EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS*: * *Valid CPR/First Aid,* * *Valid Food Safe * * *Class 5 BC License and Acceptable Driving Record* * *Satisfactory criminal record check-working with vulnerable adults,* * *Medical Clearance for Fitness to Work* * *Negative TB Skin Test* *QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:* Interpersonal skills, communication skills, analyzing and judgment ability, physical capabilities, initiative/ independence, honesty, work standards, team orientation, stress tolerance and acceptance of working conditions.
