<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Peak Performance HR is recruiting for an exciting opportunity of a Building Superintendent for our client. The organization is a very niche and modern property management company that focuses on exceptional resident experiences, specialized expertise, and developing and growing a team of professionals.</p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>The Superintendent abides by the organization's values and provides the highest level of customer service to both residents and visitors at the property. The incumbent will ensure that the building is well maintained and safe for its occupants and visitors.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Complete minor in-suite repairs as requested by clients.</li><li>Ensure all maintenance requests are completed daily.</li><li>Perform other routine maintenance duties such as painting, and drywall repairs as needed.</li><li>Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and testing of building systems and equipment.</li><li>Provide general assistance to skilled trades persons providing services in the building.</li><li>Coordinate the preparation of units for new clients' arrivals and suite turnovers.</li><li>Assist the Property Manager or designate during new clients' moving process when required.</li><li>Maintain and monitor inventory of supplies and equipment and submit purchase orders for approval.</li><li>Monitor building grounds to ensure property is well maintained and clean.</li><li>Maintain all entrances to the building clean, salted, and free of snow.</li><li>Spot cleaning of common areas and building exterior as required.</li><li>Coordinate garbage removal and collection.</li><li>Ensure garbage disposal system operates properly.</li><li>Identify and remove any fire hazards.</li><li>Train and supervise onsite cleaning and maintenance staff and assign duties as required.</li><li>Notify Property Manager of any deficiencies that will require repairs to be completed by qualified contractors.</li><li>Abide by all current regulations related to Fire Safety, Occupational Health and Safety and Employment Standards Act.</li><li>Perform assigned duties under the Fire Safety Plan.</li><li>Abide by organization's service standards.</li><li>Complete any mandatory training that is required by law.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in maintenance services within multi-unit and/or residential properties would be considered an asset.</li><li>Trade certificate or associated education would be considered an asset.</li><li>Knowledge of painting, drywall repairs, plumbing and other basic building repair tasks is required.</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Well-developed time management skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Self-starter with a "can-do" attitude and friendly disposition.</li><li>Post-secondary education will be considered an asset.</li><li>On-call availability is required in the event of emergencies.</li></ul><p>We appreciate all applications that are submitted for this opportunity and will be contacting those who have been selected for an interview.</p><p>The organization is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
