Fitter/Welders are responsible for the layout, fitting and welding fabrication.</p><p><strong>Hours of Work</strong>:<br>Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday) 40 Hours Per Week<br>Afternoon Shift: 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM (Monday - Thursday) 40 Hours Per Week</p><p><b>What will you be doing:</b></p><ul><li>Work in compliance with the provision of the <em>Act</em> and the regulations and all applicable legislation;</li><li>Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that is required to be used or worn;</li><li>Be trained in the appropriate welding procedure and on the appropriate welding machine;</li><li>Follow CPF Policies and procedures for safety and execution of work</li><li>Work and assist other workers in continuously improving safety;</li><li>Note any problems or potential hazards to the Plant Manager and/or Supervisor that may cause personal injury or property damage, delays in production shipments, or that may affect the quality of manufactured product;</li><li>Able to understand, interpret and lay out work as per engineering drawings, bill of materials and work orders;</li><li>Full understanding of blueprints, weld symbols and bills of material</li><li>Enact repairs and rework as required to maintain customer tolerances</li><li>Understanding of metallurgy, shrink rates of steel, and warping of steel as considerations during product fit up</li><li>Responsible for proper use and handling of company, co-workers and personal equipment, machinery, and tools.</li><li>Ensure work area is always kept clean, tidy and safe;</li><li>Fitting parts that they have been assigned ensuring products are made to the design and are within required tolerances</li><li>Fitting of panels, boxes, cylinders and transition pieces in both stainless and carbon steels</li><li>Operate a welding machine in a safe and professional manner.</li><li>Fit/Weld any job as assigned by the Plant Manager and/or Supervisor. This may include but is not limited to working at certain heights, working within confined spaces and welding in some areas for a prolonged time period. When welding at certain heights and/or in confined spaces, additional training may be required. The ability to be agile and flexible for welding in any position(s) is required. Welding of various metals may be required.</li><li>Ensure MSP practices are followed at all times</li><li>Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately in all steps within the process of manufacturing.</li><li>Maintain a consistent line of communication between themselves, the Team Lead
