The Government of Canada is providing a conditional funding of $20M to Foran Mining to support infrastructure construction at its McIlvenna Bay critical mineral project. The funding will go toward the construction of a hydroelectric transmission line, an on-site substation and electrical vehicle charging infrastructure.

A German climate envoy conveyed that Germany and Europe are interested in Canada's renewable energy, particularly hydrogen. At the same time, the group stated that European demand for natural gas will diminish in the long term. Germany projects reducing its gas imports by 30% by 2030, 96% by 2050, and reducing its natural gas imports by 25% by 2030. Germany will continue to support Canada’s hydrogen and critical minerals industries.
