*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and committed to supporting both the dental team and our patients.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared beforehand.
* Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
* Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort.
* Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
* Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure effective communication and workflow.
* Assist with administrative tasks such as managing inventory, ordering supplies, and handling billing inquiries as needed.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
* Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix.
* Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
* Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.

Expected hours: 20 ? 40 per week
