The Inuvialuit are working towards building a gas plant in NWT to produce compressed natural gas, propane, and synthetic diesel. This spring, a bridge will be built over a creek to reach the site. Tuktoyaktuk will be the first Inuvialuit community to switch away from diesel-dependency.
