Dieppe announced that it reached an agreement to expand its industrial park by 2 million square feet. The agreement, valued at $125M, is between Expansion Dieppe, an economic development agency, and Montoni, a real estate group. Coastal Shell Products, a plant that processes crustacean shell waste in Beaurivage, has suspended operations. The company has already laid off 20 employees due to financial losses of over $1.2M to date and a $250,000 investment in finding a solution to mitigate the odour coming from the facility.
