Total Ocean, an oil and sealskin processing company in Îles-de-la-Madeleine, has filed for bankruptcy
Fruits de mer Madeleine, a seafood processor, will invest $10M in improving the production line at its plant in Îles-de-la-Madeleine this fall. The project is scheduled to be complete prior to the beginning of the crab fishing season in 2025.
Chantier naval Forillon, a shipbuilder in Gaspé, signed a $55.5M contract to build a hybrid research vessel for the Canadian Coast Guard. This project will create 25 to 30 jobs and maintain 75 others.
