The Government of British Columbia has announced $15M in new long-term funds to help communities defend against climate hazards. The money will go towards projects that support communities to assess risks, develop preventative measures and establish bylaws. The following year, the government will provide another $25M to the fund. The first round of funding will run for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.
