Turning Points Collaborative Society and the Summerland Food Bank and Resource Centre are partnering to build a 60-unit affordable housing complex in Summerland. The $12 million project will feature five floors, with residential units located above and a food bank and resource centre on the ground floor. Construction is expected to be completed by late 2026.

Kelowna city council has voted to approve a plan to redevelop the land of the former Tolko Mill. The plan includes a transit hub and parklands. The development is expected to take place over 20 to 30 years, but parts of the site should be active as early as summer 2025. The Governments of Canada and British Columbia have signed the Canada Community-Building Fund with the City of West Kelowna for infrastructure funding over the next 10 years. West Kelowna expects to receive $1.7M for the next three years, with the amount increasing after that. These funds can be used to support capital spending on infrastructure projects.
