According to data from Statistics Canada, farmers are projected to grow more wheat, canola, oats, and soybeans in 2024. Wheat production in Alberta is expected to increase by 9.6% compared to 2023, with durum wheat up by 47.3% nationally. Canola production in Alberta was also up 2.4% over the year.
