Tunngasugit, a non-profit organization for Inuit living in Winnipeg, has opened a new resource centre. The federal government provided $1M toward the new 18,000-sq.ft. space in Winnipeg’s North End. The centre will offer arts workshops, language programming, and community supports.

The governments of Canada and Manitoba are providing a combined $986,000 to Ndinawemaaganag Endaawaad, a Winnipeg organization serving at-risk youth. The funds will be used to provide programming and public health services at Tina's Safe Haven, the non-profit's 24-hour drop-in centre.

The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) has opened a child care centre in Winnipeg, offering culturally focused education and programming for Red River Métis children. The 40-space Louis Riel Child Care Centre is the MMF’s eighth new childcare centre in the province in the last five years.
