This winter, 800 truckloads of supplies are expected to be transported on the Mackenzie Valley winter road – about twice the usual number of truckloads in a six-week period. The low water levels and barge cancellations have led to increased dependency on winter trucking for supplies, particularly fuel and housing supplies.
